Dangerous Goods Acceptance (Air)

IMPORTANT NOTE

CASA Regulations, include the requirement that ALL SHIPPERS of Dangerous Goods by Air need to undertake appropriate training. Please advise those involved that AFIF can provide this training.

Course Description

This course gives participants the knowledge to interpret and apply the International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR) to shipments of dangerous goods and hazardous materials being sent by air.

The course is designed to provide training in all areas of handling and transporting dangerous goods by air.

Including

  • Applicability of IATA Regulations; Limitations
  • Classification of Dangerous Articles and Substances
  • Identification of Proper Shipping Names
  • Packing; Marking and Labeling; Documentation; Handling

Participants who attend a Dangerous Goods Acceptance course must attend a Re-Certification course no later than two (2) years after attending the initial course to maintain currency of their accreditation. Participants will be issued with a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) accredited, AFIF Certificate of Competency.
