How secure is your customs brokers licence? (WANF 2015/048)

Are you aware of the legal and ethical issues that could impact on your ability to hold a customs brokers licence? The Australian Border Force is clearly ramping up its compliance activities and we all need to be aware of our obligations in this area.
At the recent CBFCA National Conference in Sydney, a presentation was given by Andrew Hudson, Partner with Gadens Lawyers  and Stephen Skehill, Chair of the National Customs Brokers Licensing Advisory Committee (NCBLAC) that addressed this issue of licensing conditions, the pitfalls and the challenges. Entitled  “Harder to Win and Easier to Lose – Contemporary Issues in Customs Broker Licence Regulation” the content of this dual presentation is particularly pertinent in the current
environment and as such we felt it critical to deliver this content to all members and industry.

Commencing at 08:30 on Wednesday 11 November 2015, we will be hosting a live CPD legal forum that will include a presentation by Andrew Hudson combined with audio footage from the presentation given by Stephen Skehill at the National Conference. This will be followed by an interactive discussion based on licensing hypotheticals hosted by Andrew. In rounding out the session Andrew will also provide a legal update on FTAs, TCOs and the ATTP (Trusted Trader).

CPD points: 3 points in Stream A (CBFCA037) and 6 points in Stream B (CBFCA036)

Don't miss this one as you will be certain to gain knowledge of key changes to the licensing process.
