The program is aimed principally at new entrants to the shipping, forwarding, customs broking and logistics industry, however the invitation is extended to all members of the industry who are involved in the Melbourne Port System, irrespective of their experiences.
The workshop will be conducted free of charge by the Port of Melbourne, with extensive industry input. Light lunch and refreshments also provided.
The CBFCA understands that while expertise exists in specific areas of the supply chain, some people have less knowledge about the whole supply chain process and the responsibilities of other stakeholders in the chain.
If you have any new staff, this workshop is a perfect opportunity to introduce them to this dynamic industry as they will gain a better awareness how the port and land-side logistics chain operates.
The induction will run for approximately 5 ½ hours, and will be comprised of two major elements:
Part 1: Presentation, workshop, and industry panel discussion (duration 3 ½ hours)
Part 2: Water Bourne port tour including a light lunch (2 hours)
Dates: 2 and 3 October 2019 - (Please note the induction will be identical on each day)
Venue: Port Education Centre, 343 Lorimer Street, Port Melbourne
Time: 0900-1430hrs
For more information on the induction program refer to attached flyer, click HERE.
Pre-registration is critical as numbers are strictly limited in each session.
