Border Watch update: GBL "Fantasy" increase (NNF 2017/003)

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) have sought assistance from the CBFCA in getting the following communication out to all as a matter of community safety.

There has been a steep increase in illegal importations of gammabutyrolactone (GBL), a border controlled drug commonly referred to as ‘Fantasy’ and ‘Coma in a bottle’.  In recent seizures, the drug has been found concealed within commercial beauty products imported from China and Korea.
