As you may be aware, maritime crew disembarking from vessels in Victoria are subject to the requirements of the Border Health Measures at Victorian International Ports ( Air and Sea) protocol, to download click HERE

As part of the restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus across Victoria, all incoming international passenger flights have also been diverted to other states.

To date the Victorian Government has been providing quarantine accommodation for all maritime crew across Victoria.  From 24 July 2020, mandatory quarantine accommodation will not be provided in regional Victoria until further notice. As a result, permission will not be granted to crew to disembark from vessels where mandatory quarantine needs to be undertaken in regional Victoria.

Crew arriving at a port located in regional Victoria will be subject to a 14 day quarantine period, as per the protocol. Exemption requests will be considered on a case by case basis.

Crew changes at Regional Victoria Ports are also discouraged.

Telehealth consult is encouraged and support will be available to assist your crew with medical prescriptions or a medical consultation. Any requests for crew to disembark for the purposes of emergency medical attention should be notified to DHHS well in advance of arrival at Port.

Maritime crew who disembark in metropolitan Melbourne will continue to be provided with quarantine accommodation.

The arrangements for regional Victoria and for international flight arrivals will be reviewed as the situation evolves. If you have any questions please contact [email protected]
