The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has released the following in reference to public information sessions for industry and other interested parties on the Illegal Logging Prohibition Bill 2011 that was introduced into Parliament on 23 November 2011.

The CBFCA attended yesterday’s Trade Facilitation Forum (TFF) chaired by Andrew Hosking [NSW Regional Director, Australian Customs & Border Protection Service (Customs & Border Protection)].
In order to comply with this order, both DP World and Patrick have invested in the introduction of “weigh in motion” (WIM) weighbridge technology.
It is anticipated that the TMA will be available for use by May 2012.
