CBFCA Diploma Programs

The CBFCA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and is accredited by the Government regulator, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), to provide two nationally recognised Diplomas for our industry sector.

These Diplomas are:
  • TLI50816 Diploma of Customs Broking
and

  • TLI50316  Diploma of International Freight Forwarding

TLI50816 Diploma of Customs Broking

The Diploma of Customs Broking is a purpose-built course created for our industry sector. It comprises 18 units of study with 15 core units and 3 electives. The course is offered by the CBFCA over four semesters (2 years) to ensure that all content is covered and assessed in sufficient depth.

If you are planning on becoming a licensed custom broker, the Diploma of Customs Broking is the only course of study approved by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection  as the pre-requisite course of study for those persons seeking to be licensed as customs brokers in Australia. Most importantly, the CBFCA's Diploma is taught by some of this industry's leading subject matter experts who are all current licensed customs brokers. This means that your learning is topical, relevant and totally practical at all times.

TLI50316 Diploma of International Freight Forwarding

The Diploma of International Freight Forwarding was created in recognition of the huge gap in the provision of structured training that existed in the international freight forwarding sector, a sector that up until now did not have a course specifically created for it at this level. This course is offered by the CBFCA over two semesters (one year) and includes 9 core units of study and 3 electives.

The Diploma of International Freight Forwarding (provided it is delivered by the CBFCA) is the only course in Australia recognised by FIATA (the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations) as the pre-requisite for the awarding of the prestigious FIATA Diploma. Students who complete the Diploma with the CBFCA are automatically eligible to receive the globally recognised FIATA Diploma, the gold standard worldwide.
