Department of Immigration and Border Protection Blueprint for Reform 2013 – 2018

The Service’s reform is focused on three tracks:
  1. People and Operating Model: A professional and agile Service that is adaptive to change
  2. Modernisation: Efficient business systems, streamlined processes and sophisticated intelligence
  3. Integrity: A disciplined Service culture and workforce hardened against corruption

The Blueprint outlines the need for change to ensure Australia’s protection and economic prosperity and to anticipate and prepare for the challenges facing the border.

Work to date under Modernisation is as follows:
  • Enhanced anti-dumping and countervailing legislation and the establishment of an Anti-Dumping Commission
  • Launch of new ACBPS website
  • Establishment of the International and Industry Branch
  • Establishment of a Reform Taskforce
  • Active engagement and consultation
