Impact to DPW Melbourne terminal following straddle safety incidents (VNF 2017/014)

DP World Australia has been addressing two safety issues regarding straddle carriers at the Melbourne terminal.

Over the past two weeks, DP World have had two unrelated combustion incidents in the straddles, ten days apart, affecting the two different classes of straddle carriers at the Melbourne terminal.

The effect of straddle shortages for the last two weeks has significantly affected the terminal capacity.
