Do you have a passion for teaching? (TNF2015/019)

Have you always wanted to share your industry knowledge with others? Do you believe you have a calling to teach? At the CBFCA, we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced industry professionals to facilitate classes in our nationally-recognised Diploma courses. The CBFCA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and we offer two Diploma-level courses for our industry. These are:

• Diploma of Customs Broking (national code TLI50813); and
• Diploma of International Freight Forwarding (national course code TLI50310)

Due to course expansion, we are looking for teachers in both of the above Diploma courses for Semester 2 which starts in July 2015. 

What does it take to be a CBFCA course facilitator?

The main attribute we are looking for is an enthusiastic,inquisitive and supportive outlook on life. Teaching in our courses is about travelling with the students on a learning journey to translate theory into practice through the extensive use of interesting and challenging workplace scenarios. Our goal is to place the learning in the context of what really happens in the office of a licensed customs broker or international freight forwarder. Our classes are never dull because we don't "lecture" our students. Instead you use your experience to bring out the students excitement for learning through shared examples of current workplace practice. It is different to regular classroom teaching and, through the use of our world-class virtual classroom technology, you can facilitate these highly interactive classes from home in the evening. No need to drive to a college and find a car park in the pouring rain ever again!
