AEPCOMM - has DAWR been in touch? (TNF2017/036)

As members would be aware from the numerous reminders we sent out from April to July, the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) mandated that all licensed customs brokers currently accredited under Approved Arrangements Class 19.2 (AEP for Commodities) were required to complete the CBC Activity 17-18/02 prior to 31 July 2017 so as to retain their ongoing accreditation. I can report that the vast majority of LCBs undertook this Activity successfully.

It appears however that there a number of LCBs who either didn't see the reminders or didn't think the message related to them as, for whatever reason, they had not undertaken the required CBC Activity. The CBFCA understands that these LCBs have now been contacted by DAWR with a firm reminder of the pending lapse of their AEPCOMM accreditation should they not undertake the activity by early October.

Are you one of those people to whom the DAWR has been in touch?

I know from the number of emails and calls we have received this morning that there is still some confusion about this so let me know if you need help with this as we are fully across the requirements.

The bottom line is though that if you wish to retain your AEPCOMM accreditation and you have not yet completed CBC Activity 17/18/02, then you need to jump on it pretty quickly.
