Retaining your AEPCOMM accreditation - one week to go (TNF2017/031)

If you are currently AEPCOMM accredited - and you wish to retain that accreditation after 31 July 2017 - then you need to complete the course mandated by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) within the next seven days.

Note this is NOT a full accreditation course but just a small course designed to show DAWR you are up to speed with the latest changes in Approved Arrangement Class 19.2 (AEP for Commodities). Hundreds of LCBs have already completed this designated course  (CBC Activity 2017-2018/02) in the last few weeks but if you aren't one of them - and you need to retain your AEPCOMM accreditation - then you need to jump on this pretty fast.

Feel like you only just completed a CBC course a few months ago?

I have had a number of people say to me, "But I only did a CBC course back in March, why do I have to do another one?" My response to that very relevant question is:

  • The CBC course completed in March was part of last year's CBC. Just like your CPD, the new CBC year started on 1 April 2017 and so, even though it was only a few short months ago, the new CBC year requires new CBC completion;

PLUS

  • The DAWR has mandated that, due to pending changes in the AEPCOMM Approved Arrangement, they want LCBs to be current and ready to go by 1 August 2017 with these new changes.

Hopefully this is clearer for everyone. The good news is that we have provided a very simple and cost-effective option for you to retain your AEPCOMM accreditation via the creation of a short, self-paced course that you can complete online in your own time. The fee for the course is just $35 (+GST) and the link to the course is HERE .

I hope the above has been of assistance. If you are still unsure of your specific situation, don't hesitate to contact me via email on [email protected] or call the office on (07) 3256 0146.
