Important industry survey - our current and future skills (TNF 2017/028)

An important research project is currently being undertaken to determine both the current and future skill requirements for our industry. This research is conducted and supported by an all-of-industry approach through all of the major not-for-profit industry bodies including the CBFCA, the Australian Federation of International Forwarders (AFIF), the Conference of Asia Pacific Express Carriers (CAPEC), the Export Council of Australia (ECA) and Shipping Australia Limited (SAL). The objective is to identify any crucial skills gaps in our industry sector and to also look at ways of attracting the workforce of the future.

The first step in this project is to seek out the opinions of current industry participants through this research project conducted by Macquarie University on behalf of industry. The CBFCA  invites and encourages members to provide input through this survey and, in doing so, help shape the future of our industry sector.
