Trusted Trader - separately myth from reality  (TNF 2016/028)

Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) is a voluntary trade facilitation initiative designed to recognise and reward businesses who have a secure supply chain and compliant trade practices. As a member of the CBFCA, should you be part of the ATT? Are the proposed benefits worth the effort? Will you suffer commercially if your business doesn't take part? What else do you need to know?

The CBFCA has arranged with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) to co-present a webinar - free to members- to see if we can separate the myth from the reality with the ATT. Building on the presentation given by DIBP ATT presenters, the CBFCA's Director of Freight and Business Operations, Bob Wallace, will assist you to get answers to the hard questions around ATT including:

  • What is meant by streamline reporting?
  • What data sets will make up a single periodic report?
  • What does the DIBP mean by a periodic invoice? Is this a direct debit or a request?
  • Will being an ATT provide faster deliveries off the terminal?

The webinar will be held on Thursday 14 July at 1030 hours (SYD). NOTE: this is not the usual time for our webinars but this allows us to have the ATT from DIBP onboard with us to present.
