As notified to members in NNF 2017/046, the Australian National Committee on Trade Facilitation (ANCTF) under Article 23(2) of the World Trade Organisation Agreement on Trade Facilitation, has now become effective, and as advised, the CBFCA is happy to assist the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES), Charles Sturt University, in its review work (referenced below) on the ANCTF.

The referenced survey was commended to members as is their attendance at the workshop/s referenced below.

Dear CBFCA member,

We are seeking your feedback on Australia’s National Committee on Trade Facilitation (ANCTF).

The establishment of the ANCTF is part of Australia’s commitment to the World Trade Organisation Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA). The aim of the FTA is to reduce the cost of trading goods across borders by mandating that WTO members which ratify it implement a number of principles and standards designed to ensure that border and border-related procedures relating to trade in goods are transparent, efficient, and are optimised to meet the needs of both government and business.
