Invitation to BICON Business Experience and Assurance Testing (NNF 2015/012)

You are invited to participate in the next round of BICON’s Business Experience and Assurance Testing (BEAT) to be facilitated by the Department of Agriculture (the Department).

BEAT gives you the opportunity to test how BICON will be used in your business environment. BEAT has proven to be a successful engagement opportunity between the department and BICON’s Industry stakeholders. Approximately 40 clients attended BEAT sessions in early 2014 which helped to inform recent changes to BICON.

This new system will replace the Department’s current  Import Conditions Database know as ICON, an existing suite of import conditions and permit application systems. Whereas ICON provides a database of import conditions and a simple permit application process, BICON aims to provide a more sophisticated capability with many additional features and improvements.

The CBFCA is represented on the  BICON industry working group and has participated in many national industry workshops and testing during the development process.
