Undervalued boats cost importers almost $2 million (NNF 2019/175)

The Australian Border Force  (ABF) has published a News Release, stating that companies importing vessels from overseas have been put on notice by ABF after demands for payments of nearly $2 million were issued for two undervalued commercial craft. 

If you are involved with the clearance of imported boats this notice will be of interest to you, as it serves as a reminder for all Australian businesses of the requirement to correctly declare their imports. ABF as Australia’s customs service, has made trade enforcement one of its key operational priorities.
