Import Industry Advice Notice 110-2017 (NNF 2017/279)

The following information has been provided by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources in Import Industry Advice Notice 110-2017 - Import Documentation requirements and is forwarded for your attention.

The department in this notice provides some tips to reduce potential delays in entry processing.

CBFCA Comments:

While preparation and understanding of the import conditions and documentary requirements is important we have been advocating to the department the need for improved service delivery with entry processing times and improvements to the 1800 900 090 number to enable members to reach a senior assessment officer to address any assessment, directions and inspection issues.

Earlier this week at the departments National Cargo Consultative Committee meeting we discuss again in length service delivery and the need for systematic COLS enhancements expected for release early in the new year.

We will continue to represent you and advocate for improved service delivery, industry engagement and better interface between customs brokers and assessment services officers.
