Customs Broker Licensing (NNF 2017/111)

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has advised that it has recently released updated information in relation to:
  • Nominee customs broker licence applications
and will soon release:
  • Guidelines for Completing a Corporate Customs Broker Licence Application

The CBFCA has worked with the DIBP on these amendments and sees that these will provide significant benefits for applicants.

The ‘Nominee Customs Broker Licence Applications’ pack is now available online on the Department’s website.

There is also a brief article published under the Industry Hub page on the website, describing the new approach and the underlying rationale. It also contains a link to the application pack’s location on the website.  The pack can be found through the following link: Guidelines for completing a nominee customs broker licence application.

This is the first of the three (3) broker licence application processes to be presented in this new forma, and the CBFCA looks forward to the release of the remaining packs which will support licence applications.
