"Who does this notice affect?

This notice is for those who are interested in the progress of the new biosecurity legislation.

What has changed?

The Australian Government, through the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, has developed information to help industry prepare for the commencement of the Biosecurity Act 2015 in less than one month, on 16 June 2016.

There are now additional pieces of communication material, specifically focusing on what is changing for industry members (from an industry perspective). This information is available on our website at the links provided below.

• Quarantine Approved Premises and Compliance Agreements
• Installations and petroleum industry
• Shipping industry
• Airports airlines and aircraft operators

Industry groups are invited to share this information with members and any other interested parties.
